Dara Worrell

Director of Regional Advancement

Dara Worrell joined East Tennessee Foundation as Director of Regional Advancement with three decades of experience in transformative organizational impact. Investing nearly 30 years into the University of Tennessee (UT)’s Athletics, Dara’s dynamic tenure and skillset broadened the program’s landscape. As UT’s Senior Associate Athletic Director, Dara was responsible for donor relations and athletic fundraising. Over the course of her career, she coordinated the women’s athletics endowments and capital fundraising projects and ultimately lead the transition to combine the men’s and women’s athletic development offices. She also spent 11 years supporting the Pat Summitt Foundation fund as a campus liaison and became a volunteer for the university’s HABIT program, where she built meaningful relationships alongside community volunteers and private practitioners. Since retiring from UT in 2022, Dara has served as Development Director for Legacy Parks Foundation, expanding outdoor opportunities for East Tennessee, while also serving as Strategic Advisor for Hillcrest Healthcare. Leveraging her expertise for positive impact, Dara has served on the boards of the Helen Ross McNabb Foundation’s Tennis Challenger and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. Today, she is particularly excited about elevating East Tennessee Foundation’s advancement initiatives throughout our 25-county region.
