Tips for applicants
- Take your time and don’t rush through the application. You can logout and login as you please, but be sure to save your work before you logout.
- Read through all your answers before you submit. Look for spelling errors, incomplete sentences, see that all your documents uploaded correctly, and watch for answers that have too many characters.

An Application Is Ready To Submit When you have:
- Answered all the required questions
- Uploaded all the required attachments
- Entered contact information and sent an email to whomever will be submitting a Letter of Recommendation for you, if your application requires one. You can submit your application before your Letter of Recommendation is sent, but your application is not complete until the letter has been received.

SCHOLARSHIPS WITH UNIQUE CRITERIA:
THE FOLLOWING scholarships HAVE separate applications :
- Haley Elise Van Pelt Scholarship for intellectually or developmentally disabled students attending inclusive college and career programs. Visit the East Tennessee Foundation online scholarship portal and enter access code VANPELT at the top of the applicant dashboard to apply for this award between March 15 and May 1.
- Phyllis Y. Nichols Scholarship and Student Support Fund for graduating high school seniors in Knox County public schools who plan to enroll full-time in a two- or four-year college, university, or accredited technical school. Preference is given to students attending Austin-East Magnet High School, Central High School, Fulton High School, or West High School. Visit the East Tennessee Foundation online scholarship portal to apply for this award between April 7 – May 1.
- Spenser Powell Memorial Law Scholarship is for first-year University of Tennessee College of Law students with an LSAT score of at least 153. Visit the East Tennessee Foundation online scholarship portal to apply for this award between June 1-30.
- Walters State Community College Visual Arts Scholarship for students who have studied visual arts at Walters State Community College (WSCC) and are further pursuing a degree in visual arts at an accredited college or university. Visit the East Tennessee Foundation online scholarship portal to apply for this award between April 7-22.
