Karolyn King Carter Scholarship Fund

Purpose and History

Established in March 2005 by Karolyn’s family to honor her dedication to and love of the visual arts. The scholarship recognizes and rewards visible talent in a student planning to study visual arts.

Scholarship Amount

$2,500 one-time award for one year

Eligibility

  • Residency Requirement: Not Applicable
  • Education Requirement: Graduating seniors from a Greene County or Greeneville High School, or current students at Tusculum University
  • Field of Study: Fine arts, commercial arts, or media arts
  • GPA Minimum: 3.0
  • College/Enrollment Requirement: Full-time enrollment in an accredited not-for-profit college or university
  • Financial Need: Not Applicable
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Statement of art philosophy
    • 5 slides/photographs of applicant’s work
