Karolyn King Carter Scholarship Fund

Purpose and History

Established in March 2005 by Karolyn’s family to honor her dedication to and love of the visual arts. The scholarship recognizes and rewards students with visible talent in visual arts.

Scholarship Amount

$2,500 one-time award for one year

Eligibility

  • Residency Requirement: Greene County
  • Education Requirement: Graduating high school seniors or current college students
  • GPA Minimum: 3.0
  • College/Enrollment Requirement: Full-time or part-time enrollment in a four-year, community, or technical college.
  • Financial Need: Not Applicable
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Short essay describing student’s passion for art
    • 5 slides or photographs of applicant’s work
