The Gail Clay Scholarship Fund was established by friends of Gail Clay as a tribute to her outstanding career as Director of the Carolyn P. Brown University Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. This scholarship is intended for a spouse or child of a full-time, non-exempt employee of the University of Tennessee or other state-supported, public, higher education institution located in East Tennessee Foundation’s 25 county region. The Gail Clay Scholarship is offered to students in every four years and awards next in 2027.
$2,200 per year for four years
The Gail Clay Scholarship is for graduating seniors or current college students from East Tennessee’s 25-county service region whose spouse or parent is a full-time employee staff (not faculty) member of a public college in Tennessee. Eligible students must have financial need and plan to enroll full time in a public, Tennessee college.
Complete the East Tennessee Foundation Common Application between December 15 and March 15 to see if you are eligible for this and other scholarship awards.
