The Alane R. Strong Scholarship was created by Alane and Michael Strong to honor Alane’s long career as an emergency room nurse by supporting students who are pursuing nursing as a career, or for current nurses who wish to expand their knowledge in the field.
Recipients will receive a one-time scholarship grant of $4,100.
To be eligible for the Alane R. Strong Nursing Scholarship students must live in the East Tennessee Foundation’s 25-county service area, have at least a 3.5 GPA and a deep commitment to becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) or completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Financial need is not a factor in awarding the Alane R. Strong Scholarship and both graduating high school seniors and current college students may apply.
Complete the East Tennessee Foundation Common Application between December 15 and March 15 to see if you are eligible for this and other scholarship awards.
