KINGSPORT, TN — The Kingsport Community Foundation, an affiliate fund of the East Tennessee Foundation, is hosting Kingsport’s Best to recognize and honor those in Kingsport who have contributed time, talent and treasure to better our community. This year’s event is on Friday, August 8 and will be held at Meadowview Conference Resort and Convention Center in the Meadowview Grand Ballroom.
“Each year, our community treasures this remarkable opportunity to collectively celebrate those who have dedicated themselves to make Kingsport a wonderful place to live,” said Greg Perdue, Kingsport Community Foundation Chair. “The honorees remind us of our shared responsibility to invest in our community – a city that has given so much to us – and we look forward to honoring their legacy and embracing Kingsport’s future through this signature event.”
The 2025 Kingsport’s Best honorees and the four distinct categories of impact they represent include:
In Memoriam: Those who left a legacy of giving
Future of Giving: Those who show a commitment to service and philanthropy as young professionals
Community Servant: Those who have invested in their community for many years
Legacy of Philanthropy: Those who have made a lasting impact and are leaving a legacy through philanthropic efforts in our community
As an affiliate fund of the East Tennessee Foundation (ETF), the Kingsport Community Foundation (KCF) is strategically designed to make a local impact. Each year, KCF and the ETF collaborate to meet community needs and provide grants to strengthen the Greater Kingsport area.
“Kingsport’s Best is a testament to the power of giving and the profound impact that philanthropy has on the lives of others,” said President & CEO of the East Tennessee Foundation Keith Barber. “The East Tennessee Foundation is pleased to join and support the Kingsport Community Foundation in celebrating local leaders who have dedicated their lives to building a stronger community.”
A cocktail reception begins at 6:00 p.m. with dinner and the program slated for 7:00 p.m. A dessert reception will follow the program.
