Jefferson Health Care Foundation Fund announces 2023 grant recipients

Twenty-four grants were awarded in Jefferson County

East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) is pleased to share information about the 2023 Jefferson Health Care Foundation Fund’s grant recipients. Twenty-four (24) grants totaling $650,480 were awarded to organizations whose programs and services directly impact the health and wellbeing of Jefferson County residents.

The Jefferson Health Care Foundation (JHCF) Fund was established at East Tennessee Foundation in 2014 with funds from the former Jefferson Memorial Hospital. The JHCF Fund’s purpose is to support grantmaking which improves the healthcare and wellbeing of Jefferson County residents. Organizations are encouraged to exercise creativity in how they define and address the healthcare and wellbeing needs of Jefferson County. The volunteer advisory board which served as the grant panel was comprised of community individuals whose knowledge of healthcare issues guided their funding recommendations.

Recipients are: Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley, Carson-Newman University’s Appalachian Ministries of the Smokies (AMOS) and Samaritan House Family Ministries, City of New Market for New Market Volunteer Fire Department, Dandridge Ministerial Association, Girls Inc. of Hamblen County, Isaiah 117 House Jefferson County, Jefferson City Fire Department, Jefferson City Police Department, Jefferson County Constables’ Department Inc., Jefferson County Educational and Community Foundation, Jefferson County EMS, Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity, Jefferson County Public Library System, Jefferson County Senior Citizens Inc., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Joining Hands Health Center, Lakeway CASA, Penultimate Development, Renovatus Recovery Community, Rescue 180 Inc., Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center, SafeSpace, Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, and Town of Dandridge.
