Youth Endowment Fund

General Description

Supports creative solutions to problems that youth in our region face.

Application Process

For the 2023 Youth Endowment Fund grant cycle, East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) will direct its grantmaking to support projects which can have an impact on root-cause community problems, especially those created by systemic racism and generational harms. Projects must specifically support youth in our 25-county service area and must address one or more of the following focus areas:

  • Drivers of health
  • Prevention and/or mitigation of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
  • Early childhood education

 

The online application will be available June 15, 2023.
The deadline to apply is July 14, 2023.

Grant Amounts and Terms

Grants will be awarded in September 2023 for two-year terms and will range from $5,000 – $20,000.

The grant term is September 15, 2023 – September 14, 2025.

Who May Apply

General Eligibility and Funding Criteria

Additional eligibility criteria specific to the Youth Endowment Fund:

  • Applicant organizations must primarily function to serve children and youth or be an organization whose programs have demonstrated the ability to serve this population
  • Organizations must be located in and serve constituents in ETF’s 25-county service area
  • Under special circumstances, grants will be made to institutions outside the Foundation’s 25-county service area for programs that are operated within or provide direct benefit to residents of the 25 counties
  • Salary or administrative support must not exceed 50% of the funding requested
