General Description

Supports projects that will benefit the residents of Norris, Andersonville, Bethel, and Fairview in Anderson County.

Application Process

The Norris Area Community Foundation will award grants in 2028.

Information about the next grant cycle will be available by January 31, 2028.

Grant Amounts and Terms

Organizations can apply for amounts between $1,500 – $6,000.

Grants were awarded for one-year terms in April 2026. The grant term is May 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027.

Areas of Focus

Funding preference will be given to proposals which embody one or more of the following priorities:

Youth and young adults
Military recognition
Humane care of animals
Arts with a cultural/historical perspective (all forms of art)
Support for seniors
Public safety

Additional eligibility criteria specific to Norris Area Community Foundation:
- Applicant organizations must have a local presence and propose a project that will benefit the residents of Norris, Andersonville, Bethel, and/or Fairview in Anderson County.
- Funded projects must demonstrate a significant impact on the community via qualitative and quantitative data/information.
- Funds requested must be matched by at least 10% of funding requested. The match may be in cash, in-kind donations of goods and services, or a combination of both.
