Supports and provides medically-related transportation and traveling clinical services for underserved rural residents of Greene County, TN.

The 2024 grant cycle has closed. The next grant cycle will be in 2026.

Grant Amounts and Terms

Grants were awarded for two-year terms in April 2024. The grant term is April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2026.
Amounts ranged from $10,000 – $20,000.

Who May Apply

The Dr. J.G. Hawkins Memorial Fund was established in 2011. The purpose of the fund is to provide medical care and treatment for residents in rural Greene County, TN who are underserved, uninsured, or underinsured, especially children.

  • Additional eligibility criteria specific to the Dr. J.G. Hawkins Memorial Fund:
    • Projects must exclusively benefit Greene County residents.
    • Organizations must propose a project that will support and provide medically-related transportation to rural residents of Greene County, or
    • Organizations must propose a project that will bring traveling clinical or medical services to underserved rural areas of Greene County on a temporary or intermittent basis.
    • Organizations are not required to reside in Greene County in order to be eligible to apply.
