Arts Fund for East Tennessee

General Description

Established in 1986 to serve as a source of funds to support excellence in the arts, expand access to the arts, and connect artists with each other and with East Tennessee communities.

General Eligibility

In 2024, the Arts Fund for East Tennessee will focus its grantmaking on celebrating our region’s richness in artistic expressions and cultural diversity. Grants will be awarded to sustain cultural traditions and to encourage all forms of artistic expression. Preference will be given to:

  • Organizations whose projects extend art opportunities to underserved populations such as through outreach efforts;
  • Public art displays and performances that are designed to bring the arts into the everyday lives of the general public;
  • Grassroots arts organizations; and
  • Projects that celebrate the arts and cultures of historically underrepresented communities.

East Tennessee Foundation is grateful to announce the Katherine Davis Moore and Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Davis Foundation Fund will award grants as part of the 2024 Arts Fund for East Tennessee grant cycle. This fund was created in 2017 for the promotion of cultural growth and the development of music and arts programs in the East Tennessee area for the benefit of young persons under the age of 25.

Please note there is not a separate application for the Katherine Davis Moore and Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Davis Foundation Fund. It shares the same application as Arts Fund for East Tennessee. Organizations may only submit one application per grant cycle, not per fund.

Application Process

The online application will be available April 15, 2024.
The deadline to submit is May 10, 2024 by 7:00pm Eastern.

Eligible applications will be reviewed by a volunteer grant panel. After the grant panel meets to make its funding recommendations, all organizations will be notified of their funding status via email by early July 2024.

Grant Amounts and Terms

Grants will be awarded for two-year terms in July 2024. The grant term is July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2026.
Amounts will range from $5,000 – $15,000.
