Oak Ridge Fund for Achieving Community Excellence

An affiliate fund of East Tennessee Foundation

The Oak Ridge Fund for Achieving Community Excellence (ORFace) was established in 2017 as an affiliate fund of East Tennessee Foundation. Its purpose is to support initiatives that have a lasting legacy for Oak Ridge – things that substantially change the trajectory of our future.

ORFace strives to help shape the future of Oak Ridge by reinforcing our established role in science, enriching the programs and tradition of excellence in our public school system, and stimulating economic development. Board members are committed to including all citizens in contributing to and benefiting from this community. The fund was founded to inspire us to imagine creative, distinctive, and ambitious community projects, and to motivate organizations to collaborate on achieving those projects.

ORFace began with a modest endowment as Oak Ridge celebrated its 75-year anniversary. This endowment has grown while beginning to make a small number of impactful grants as the fund grows. While countless wonderful projects might be funded, ORFace is committed to supporting only projects that can answer: “How will this effort help to notably improve the future of Oak Ridge?”
