PLEASE CONTACT ME WHEN:

Contact me when needing East Tennessee’s philanthropic leadership. If I don’t have a direct answer, I’m surrounded by a team of professionals who do!

ON A TYPICAL WORKDAY I’LL BE:

I’ll be asking, “Why not?!” Why not leverage our role as a community resource through strategic partnerships, conversations, and initiatives? Why couldn’t we have a positive impact here that could be grown nationally? Why not grow our assets beyond $1 billion? Why not be the most highly recommended philanthropic advisor?

I CHOSE THIS WORK BECAUSE:

I recognize gracious investors, engaged volunteers, and resilient nonprofit partners contribute to the value and quality of life in East Tennessee.

MORE ABOUT ME:

I’ve dedicated 30 years of my career to the enhancement of higher education through philanthropy and volunteerism. Most recently, I served as Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement for the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture and the UT Foundation for ten years.

Prior to joining UT, I provided philanthropic impact for Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Clemson University, University of Georgia, University of Florida, and Florida Atlantic University.

I was raised in rural North Carolina and earned my Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from Appalachian State University. Later, I completed my Doctor of Education in Leadership at Valdosta State University.

Over the past ten years, I’ve had the great pleasure of traversing the great State of Tennessee and the honor to partner with many of its most generous philanthropists.I
